Here is a great way to get rid of those salt stains.
What you will need:
- Bottle of white vinegar
- Clean Spray Bottle
- Water
- Clean Sponge
Give the car floor mats, a good vacuum to get rid of lose grime and chunks of flaking salt, then mix up a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, and then using a sponge, sponge into the carpet. Let it sit for a few minutes, then blot it up with paper towel.

Method:
1. Same mixture as for the mats, 50/50 white vinegar and clean water
2. Spray the affected area on the seat until saturated
3. Take a Clean Terry Towel and Press into the area
4. DON"T SCRUB! even though you may be tempted, this will injure the fabric fibers
5. Fold the towel and keep blotting until you have most of the dampness out.
6. Open Windows and Let dry naturally
7. BONUS - Makes the car smell fresh and clean.
